OP Sceptre week summary - Rickmansworth NPT

Throughout last week, we supported #Sceptre, a national campaign to tackle knife crime. Starting Monday 18th May - Sunday 24h May 2026.

Here are some of the things that officers from the Neighbourhood Team in #Rickmansworth got up to:

✅ High-visibility patrols were conducted.

✅ Residents were spoken to.

✅ Schools were visited, to help educate young people.

✅ Volunteer Police Cadets and the Special Constabulary joined the team to conduct a test purchase operation. Attempts were made to purchase knives underage at a number of locations. All but one correctly refused the sale, with words of advice given.

The engagements allowed us to address concerns, reassure residents and gather feedback and intelligence.
